So for as long as i can remember i always wanted to go volunteer at an orphanage home or any kind of place in need of an extra hand. Ive always loved children, that is a fact evident to all who know me forever. I couldn't do it before because i was too young myself and always traveling so that was chaotic enough. Now that i've found myself with extra time and the will and compassion to go help others i am researching for orphanages around Guadalajara, Mx. to go and help out.
All this thinking gave me an idea the other day, of going and photographing some children there while i volunteer and get their trust and liking first of course , so they can truly open up and give me a photo full of history and expression. My hope for this is to make calendars with photographs of the orphanages and their daily routines and lifestyles, to be able to capture the sweetness and sadness of it all and to help out somehow by giving the calendars away for any charity money they could receive to help out buy food or any kind of things these places might lack of. so this is a project i am working on hopefully to be shot this year.
